Midnight Hike up Mt Democrat

Hey guys...planning a midnight hike up Mt. Democrat Sunday Aug 12 into the morning of Aug 13. Will be leaving the Kite Lake trailhead outside of Alma around 9:30 pm to make it up to the top. That night is the peak of the Perseids Meteor shower (up to 120 an hour) and figured what better place to see it than 14000+ feet! Anybody interested in going??? Kyle

Nah, Im a Republican lol this sounds pretty cool! we were in moab on top of the mesa with a full moon and a Meteor shower, it was amazing!

Sounds like a cool trip. My wife's working that night, so I'm in charge of the kiddos, or else I'd be seriously considering it.
