I wanna see this FJ-40 when you get it back from Iron Pig.

That would be great to check out some trails around the area. I'm out right now and won't be back until November though. I'd also like to check out your rig in person, I'm thinking of doing the bedliner sides like yours.

Hey,

I know plenty of trails in the area. A lot of in Chesapeake, some in Virginia Beach but they are sketchy. I don't like to tell specifics online, because of guys taking advantage of it, but I would be glad to show anybody around. I've explored pretty much this whole area, and Virginia Beach 100%. Also, near Yorktown, and the Williamsburg areas, there are some gorgeous trails!

Sounds good to me bro. I did the Herculiner in my driveway. Cost me about 100 bucks! hahaha ... It's probably almost 1/4 inch thick and will hold up to pretty much anything.

It would be really cool, to get a few rigs to meet up and follow each other around a little bit. I could make a little map up. Sounds kind of corny, but I know it would be fun. :D

Chris you need to post some pictures.

Where are these trails? I probably won't have enough time, i'm still moving out of the old house.

Ill try to get some pics posted next week. give me a call when you are back in town.

When?

I don't know how soon, I am babying the 80 cause I have some bad CV's. I need to call cDan and get some replacements.

Can we have a meet and greet one more time? I miss the first one.:D:beer:

yeah, that sounds good to me ...

hahaha ... mmmmmmmmm ... thinking ... can't think of one that be good for all of us ...

I should be able to make it. Are we talking an early in the day meet and possible trail ride? Or just hanging out? I'm cool with whatever.

Two Saturdays of Wrench-a- thon

Me and mikedamageinc spent two Saturdays wrenching at NAS Oceana's Auto Hobby Shop. On Saturday (11/22/08) first, we had a Starbucks Coffee to start the day, then we headed to the hobby shop to do the wrenching on Mike's truck.

Once we got there, we went straight to one of the stall, then we proceeded to drop the PS side front control arm first to press out the old OME bushings by using the 55-ton hydraulic press, we pressed-in brand spanking new OEM bushings he bought from CDAN. Once the PS arm was done and re-installed back on the truck, then we did the same thing with the DS control arm. Once both arms were completed, we then proceeded to grinding/cutting off the metal tabs on the front axle to mount the new Slee Caster plates he bought from Slee.

What took us longer in doing this wrenching was the pressing out/pressing in both OME and OEM bushings and the grinding of metal tabs to facilitate the installation of the new Slee Caster plates.
