Don't know your first question because we haven't built one for the 55 yet.

The finish welds will be inside the truck

The cage is designed on a sleeve method. The cage is made from 1.75" tube and the base tube is 2". There will be at least a 4" drop so you can get to everything inside the truck to weld. Once it is all welded you jack up the cage to its final position and weld the base tube to the cage.

Come on now, you are killing me! I want one of these so bad!!!

Sorry to hear about the break-in. Not much to say but 'that sucks.' Been there, no fun.

Your 55 cage has caused me to turn my restoration up several notches so I can have my Pig ready for installation as soon as the 55 cages are built.

Thanks for keeping us updated!

Hey I started the thread! I am first in line bitches! :)

so what's the story?????

LT, have any possible dates when the 55 cages will be ready? when I spoke with Mark he mentioned that you will be doing 2 types, one full cage and another that is more reserved and mounts behind the front seat area. Is that still the plan?

Me, Me, Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I read about this last year. Any updates??

Sorry to be messenger of bad news. Talked to Mark today. The project has been pushed back. They have a full plate with all the FJC and 80 series stuff right now.

Looks like mid-September

I understand that. I know we are a small market. Look at how many FJCs and 80s there are out on the road and trails compared to Pigs. I'm happy with just having a projected completion date. Thanks for the support Mark - I look forward to seeing a prototype.

Count me in for one when they are available. Mid-September would be good. My birthday is at the end of the month and August is a three paycheck month. Happy Birthday to me!

not chopped liver...Mark is just trying to meet demand with supply...more demand for 80 and FJC stuff than for Pig stuff

I know, I know. Wasn't trying tobe a douche.

(well, maybe a little bit) ;)

Any update on the 55 cages?

Red Line Land Cruisers has a very nice full cage.

Red Line Land Cruiser's are a new vendor, here's a link to a photo of their 60 series cage:

Basically the same setup for a 55, you can see the headroom. FYI, these guys come from a racing background and know how to build a cage that provides protection. These can provide protection on the highway not just on a slow flop like most of them.

Red Cruiser, the roll-cage looks great. Any idea on the cost of installation? Any plans to powdercoat non-weld areas prior to installation to make finishing it easier?

I've told you about all I know.

I've asked Isotel to pick it up, he's working with Red Line.
