Well i'm in for one too so that makes it 3 in Vancouver BC. I also have the space, gear and some skill to git er dun too as far as fab is concerned.

Perhaps Sizzlechest can pick it up in his truck form seattle or something and jsut clear them thru himself, then we can settle the tally then.

Personally I'm looking for a full cage that ties to the frame , or has frame tie offs, with a family cage for the jump style seats and that still fits a hard top. I'm also interested in tieing it into an Exo setup as well as stiffening the frame by tieing the pillars to the frame rails from the shock mounts to the middle of the A pillar.

We'd have to select a style of cage that works for us all i guess. Mine is an 80, and i know Brendans is a pre 79 so there would need to be some custom work done anyhow.

Steve (Mud Guppie of EBI) was talking about getting a bender and making some cages, but i know he's very busy. I've also seen some videos of cruisers sporting MT cages go over a few times and laugh it off when it's all said and done. That looks like good engineering to me.

ah i've always been interested in getting a metal tech cage, i got so many other things i wanna upgrade first though.

I was looking at the family cage ,but i would like to retain the rear jump seats so i may have to go with this exact setup (link), with a few extra bars ,like behind the seats and along the dashpad , , . i'm in ,whenever everybody can get the money . Biffs you said you can get them installed ?? you have great confidence in your welding , i have three kids that i don't want to kill off yet HA! HA! Jake , 1978 fj40 would also like frame tie ins . i don't mind going to arlington either ,?? i wouldn't mind the noseguard either ,i could go for the cage on this red rig ,(link)

When you guys are ready just let me know. To get the group discount all you need is a total of three cages shipped to the same address, they don’t have to be the same ones.

I can invoice everyone separately; over the phone or e-mail they just let me know its part of the group buy. I will also brake down the shipping cost and evenly split it based on what was ordered. This way someone who chooses just to order a fender kit does not pay shipping for a full cage kit!

A few clubs have done some great group buys, a few key things to make it easy:

1. Set a close date for everyone to get there orders in by.
2. Establish one commercial address to receive the group order.
3. Have one person be the primary contact for the group. Everyone still contacts MT separately to place and pay for their individual order. The primary contact is the one who controls the ship date and ship to address.

thanks mark, i've got a shipping address just across the border. can you give us just a rough idea of the discount we would be looking at for combined orders? is it a percentage or...?

I have family in Tacoma, an everlovin' desire for a Metal Tech cage, and enough dough. If the Ship To address ends up near Tacoma count me in please. :)

aaah, well if we don't all have to buy the exact same stuff i'm sure i could take advantage of this opportunity.

So let's trade some PMs and get ourselves sorted out. Interested Lower Mainlanders can mail me and i'll distribute. If that's ok w/ y'all.

it's tough just to buy one thing. i wanna get the front profile kit, but then i start thinking, well i might as well get the oem roll bar for the rear... ah but then i need the grab handles, over head bars, frame tie ins front and back. next thing you know i'm looking at the full family cage. :shotts:

Well, i dunno. I rarely web wheel on the same web trails that you do! :whoops:

besides, are there a lot of rock obstacles on the internet that might make you roll your cruiser? :crybaby:
