Has anyone done the +10 intake baffle removal? I'd love to do that one to see how much louder it gets. Bart likes a loud FJ. :)

I've been researching ways to do it...

the easiest thing I saw was one guy took two different sized fence post caps and replaced the baffles with them. Just don't know what he did with the hoses that vent into the old baffles.

Let me know what you find.

i saw the same thing put with pvc ends. he took a metal grommet i think and screwed it into the pvc cap. ima look a bit more into it. i don't really wanna rig something up...

The two from the transfer case and trans are both high enough that you really don't need to do them on the +10 FJC's. If you get water in them, the water would be high enough that you'll have water in engine engine. I did however forget about the front diff. I never did that on mine. Didn't know it actually had a breather. Maybe someone can chime in on that. I know I have two other breathers on the driver's side of the engine that come from underneath. Have no idea where they go. Maybe one of them is to the front diff.

Front diff already has a high breather.

Before you go an start removing the intake resonators, i'd read this.

Soarer - The Intake Resonator

After seeing how massive some of the ones are on the new SS camaros at my Dads shop, starts leading me to believe they are there for more than just sound reduction.

I'm out on Saturday

I'm not going to be able to make the meeting at MG World on Saturday. I'm sorry, as I was getting the scuba mod materials. I have 7 of the Toyota part which fits into the rear end where the breather is located, from which you run tube up to the T-fitting. I was getting the other parts (hose, tees) this week.

My mom is having cancer surgery on Friday in Houma and I will be with her then and on Sat - Sun. This is a higher calling and I'm sure you all understand.

No problem Will. I am very sorry to hear about your mother. My thoughts are with you and her and I hope everything works out for the best with a very speedy recovery. Scuba mods are very unimportant in the scheme of life and we will see you soon.

Like I said on blue.. I will be praying for you and your mother. It is going to be hard times for both of you but just stay focused on the positives and just encouraging her. (My grandmother said it was what pushed her through her surgery's)

Will,

Our thoughts and prayers will be with you.

Did I miss something, or is the m/g on Saturday or Sunday. The original post said Sun 11th.

Hey bud. My thoughts and prayers are with you and you family. If you need anything , don't hesitate to call me or message me here. This is a family and family does come first. Take care of what you need to do and let us know what we can do for you. God bless you and yours.

And the meeting is still on Sun 3/11 starting at 11am.

What time are we meeting at Mardi Gras world again and what is the address?

I forgot i have my buddies wedding Saturday in Houma. So i will be staying the night there and coming from Houma over to MGW.

The meeting will start around 11am. I think Brian and Jonas are planning to get there early.

Mardi Gras World
1400 Port of New Orleans Place
NOLA 70130
Drive up to the entrance to MGW then turn right. Follow around past the building until you see the Mississippi River. We'll be over to the right by the big white tent. If the weather is crappy, we'll hang out under the tent. All of our vehicles will fit under there.
Google maps satellite will give you an idea of where we'll be.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
Oh, don't forget to bring your own tools. I'll supply all the power in the world but no tools. I'll have a couple jack stands and wrenched but that is about it.

In case anyone is watching the weather, no it does not look too good for this weekend. However, MGW has a HUGE tent out back that we can all park under and conduct our business out of the weather. The tent has sides. But, I don't know how many people are going to want to climb under a wet rig so keep that in mind for whatever mods you are looking to get done. Also, Brian has offered to give us his version of the .50 tour of the MGW warehouse where a ton of the floats are stored. This may keep the kiddos occupied for a little bit while we turn wrenches. And last, don't forget to bring what you want to cook, all the fixins and some drinks. Brian will have a BBQ pit out there. The club will provide some plates, napkins, plastic utensils and the charcoal. Hope to see you out there.....don't let a little rain scare you off. :hillbilly:

see y'all sunday!

Sounds great! Nobody needs to worry about the weather. I have a plan up my sleeve if the weather is really bad. So just show up, ok?! Call me if you get lost. My cell is 5o4 two 51- two07four. If the GPS you use doesn't have 1400 Port of New Orleans place located near the convention center by Henderson and Tchoupitoulas, plug in 1380 Port of New Orleans Pl. Sometimes the GPS doesn't read the #1400 correctly.
See y'all Sunday!

Sorry guys, gonna have to stand out on this one - family plans - see all of you soon.

Brian, would the owner be upset if there was some sidewalk chalk graffity left behind :)

I'd like to stick around and help anyone out for a while (since I don't have the funds to wrench on my own rig), but I'll need to bring some things to occupy the little one.

Not sure how the chalk would do if the ground is wet. But, as long as I can wash it off, I don't see any issues. I'd prefer spray paint actually. ;)
