In Arkansas' ozark mountains
This weekend will be deemed "maintenance hell". I will be performing some tasks that I have put off for a while but hopefully make some great improvements. I usually try to take pictures of the stuff I do on my truck just to have some type of history but I do also get into the swing of things and forget.
A few duties I will be performing are:
1) Rebuild front and rear calipers with Toyota OEM parts along with rebuilding rear brake shoes since my -ebrake does not work
2) Replacing front and rear rotors and bleeding the brake system
3) Switching wheels (if feasible) and ditching the old wheel weights for 8ounces of airsoft beads in each wheel
4) Swap fluid in my fan clutch and possibly tuning the fan to pump on at 95*
5) If I have time, swap out my power steering pump

Don't you hate it when you tear into a project and find all kinds of issues? Yeah, me too.
Took out the fan clutch and found that it was an aftermarket.
I already had the clutch out so I decided to do the fluid swap anyways. I open it up and looky what we have......
I swapped out with 10k and 20k fluid to experiment. I already found that the AC runs colder now at idle.
I take off the front driver wheel to start on the brakes and look what we have....
AXLE JOB TIME! Great.....
I finally had a basket made from my buddy. It's plenty strong and holds 3 gas cans or a cube cooler great. We cut up a hitch mounted carrier and made this
Also put the new d-window wheels on all 5 tires. I ran approx 8 ounces of beads in each wheel and at 45MPH, no shakes! I'll take it on the freeway to test out soon. Finally, no more lost wheel weights after wheelin!
