Little body work done and in primer. Paying customer trucks come first so work may slow a little. Will be working on the doors and getting them ready. Also need to shorten the cage out of the 43 and get it fitted.

Decided to see how the front fenders off the 43 would look since it hasn’t sold. Not sure which I like better. The angles on the 43 fenders are a little weird

More bodywork to do but did a test on color. I was going to do capri blue like my other one but decided to try something different. Toyota cement grey. I thought it was more matte but this has a lot of pearl per our paint company. Think this grey with some bronze wheels.
Thanks I have seen the nardo grey also. I do like it plus I don’t think it has the metallic. Touch ups would be easier without metallic. Our mixing system should be set up soon and I may play with some other greys.

Got the truck out today for a short ride around the neighborhood circle. Luckily I had run the tank close to dry 3 years ago when I drove it last, so a few gallons on non ethanol in the tank and she fired right up. What’s awesome is that everything worked liked it should.
Going to order a PRP Lite suspension seat and make a cradle mount for the rear.

Been a little slow at getting things done but my son has been off from work. I put him to helping his old man. Filling in holes in dash and firewall that won’t be used. Working on getting the cage from the 43/80 cut down to fit also.

I wish I could have seen ours side by side in the daylight. Very different mixes that turned out very similar. Well, you know, except for the dry spray and the runs.
@DangerNoodle i will definitely do a spray out of Nardo gray. Got more welded up today. I’ll probably run some form of vintage air unit and had the heater intake filled in. May even fill in the entire dash and start over with switch placement.
Thinking about letting this one go to someone that will build it. I had high hopes but stepped into the 80 world. Really enjoying the 80 I bought and planning on a ls swap for it. Plus I still have my dad’s 40.
