My 13 year old son asked about doing some work this summer to make a little money. We don't have many neighbors and live too far from civilization to do any yardwork type jobs.

We decided that he would take over my hobby of virginizing ecus to accept master keys and make a little money.

I will be supervising and will guarantee all of his work. I will still offer the virginized chips for free. This is for 1998-2002 Lexus Lx470 and 1998-2002 Toyota Land Cruisers.

Can write keys to and virginize other model Lexus/Toyota ecus. Just ask.

Here is what we have come up with for pricing:

Return shipping is $10

Your ecu:

You send your ecu to us, we will do the work to it and return your same computer.

Virginize- $50+ return shipping

Write keys to ecu- $50 +return shipping and key cost. We will write up to 3 keys to the ecu. Keys with remote $35, transponder keys without remote $10. Keys will require cutting. You can also send your own keys with the ecu to be written to it.

If you don't want to be without your truck while you wait for your ecu we have a few used ecus that we can either sell outright or swap. Ask for details.

I will add more as we think of it.

To kick this off for the first five orders I will pay for return shipping.

For those of you that have bought aftermarket keys for your 2003-2007 LX470 and can't add them to the ECU it is because they come with the incorrect keytag. If you can program the remote to unlock the doors, but not start the truck you need a tp29 keytag.

We have the correct transponders for you. 5 bucks each shipped.

Mauser, I will message you but buying a LC this weekend with ONLY a valet key. I would like to have a master or two and a remote head key done if possible

This sounds pretty great. I have a 2006 LC with only 1 key (a master key) and the thought of paying $300 for another master makes me want to puke. Seriously Toyota?

Anyway, do you cut the keys as well? I only ask because I *tried* to do the Amazon cheap Land Cruiser keys and the transponder was definitely wrong (engine would turn over but never actually start) but the worst part is that I went to an independent locksmith shop and they were horrible. They cut the key poorly and spent an hour jamming it in and trying to force it to turn in both the door locks AND the ignition. They assured me that "Toyota keys and locks suck" and that they knew what they were doing. They probably shot 1/2 a can of WD-40 into my ignition and driver side door and the key still would not turn smoothly. It was a terrible experience and I would like for someone who knows what they're doing to cut the key...

Anyway, that brings up a new issue: If I ship my only key (and the ECU?) and it gets lost in transit I would be screwed, right?

Yours is an easy one. You have a master key. A lot of the Amazon keys have Toyota keytags.I can send you the correct keytag that will program to your ecu.

I can cut keys, but it isnt a service I offer because I can't fine tune the keys from across the country. Try lightly sanding the edges of your key with 150 grit sandpaper and work it in the doir lock. It is cheaper to replace if it gets messed up. The locks arent junk, sounds like the locksmith wasn't very good at his job.

Yes, if an ecu is lost it can get expensive, but not too bad.

Back from vacation and have time to do some more ECUs. Got a few ready to go.

Hey Mauser, I’m interested in swapping ecu’s. I just bought a 99 LX470 with just a valet. But it’s my only vehicle. Can you pm me about getting this done, and getting a master key from you. Thanks
