The results from power washing the carpet really transform the interior. Adding the updated electronics and seat covers improves it even more. Supposedly "A picture says a Thousand words" so you've saved us a lot of reading. I believe the Advanced Adapters 716369 kit is what you'll need.

Thanks... I made my AA order yesterday. Should be here late next week. I still have to figure out what I am going to do about motor mounts. AA sells a kit that they say will work for this application. I have also thought about using the factory 5.3 mounts some how... Not sure yet, need to do more research.

Started removing stuff from the engine for cleanup and to start the harness modification.

Will start cleaning the block soon.. I really don’t want to paint the aluminum, I would really like to clean the aluminum and then clear coat it.. not sure if that is possible..

Decided to work on the harness on the back porch of the lake place.. very nice…

I have removed all the unnecessary wires and will start identifying and terminating the external connections and getting the harness back together today.

Finished the harness this morning… it is ready to go. I am going to use the factory fuse box. That is different from my last build. But it will save me some money. It might not be as pretty as a aftermarket fuse box, but it has all the relays and fuses I need to make the swap work.

Bucket of removed wiring….

Also installed new carpeted floor mats from Cruiser Corps.. Very high quality and great fit. I have had nothing but good results with everything I have bought from them.. Highly recommended.

I will be in Houston all week this week, so I will not have any progress to report until at least next week. I will be sending the PCM off for programming tomorrow…

Next weekend I will start on the frame clean up and tear down of the transfercase. I believe I am going to have to replace some parts in the TC. The front bearing was very lose. Any help on where to get parts for the TC are greatly appreciated.

Yum - looks great

Removed and broke down the Transfer Case.. It all looked good except for the front output bearing.. it was in bad shape.. Still attempting to find someone to sell me a rebuild kit.

Started the process of getting the engine in the correct position for building the mounts.. I had hoped to use the factory engine mounts and brackets.. but doesn’t look like it will work.. I most likely will order the Advanced Adapter kit…

make sure you account for your steering gear space....that may be obvious..

looks good, V8 is nice.

you might want to consider getting the gear rebuilt by WTO if its never been touched.

Update from 06/15/14..

Mounted the LS1 Camaro Fans to the Land Cruiser radiator. I used these fans on my 69 Chevy K10 build and they have really worked well.
