And the campout/trail run afterwards was great. My daughter was a little disapointed that she was the only kid along and there were not enough dogs to play with.
She alo mentioned there was a lot of yelling later at night...
Bunch of us headed up to Chehalis to check out the rumoured new bridge (which is true!). Sadly it looks too accessible if you catch my drift...
My apologies for not sticking around as we were leaving Chehalis. I waited at the end of the bridge for awhile, and Cassy was getting pretty impatient to get home and I couldn't reach anyone on the CB (time for a VHF soon). I guessed perhaps you were checking out the slide and all knew the way home anyways.

Best in show was the BJ40 restored by EBI. (the olive green one).

Looks like it was a good time, unfortunately I had to work that morning 
Yeah the weather was great. Missed it too. Was working Saturday and Sunday like always.
Sweet! so now we aim for 350 vehicles next year and some serious sponsors

200 trucks sounds like it is growing. How many land cruisers?
Just a thought, but other than jeffs pics, a few posted pats of back/high fives, and the paper that shows it being a suzuki mud-racer and jeep crawler 'cruise-in', not much for post event advertising of the success. Basically nothing from the camping/day trip wheeling portion of the event.
You might draw in the out of towners that were on the fence about going and would consider going next year with more pics/info. Who had booths set up; was there a gear swap; raffle info; any other stuff that happened?
I'd have liked to go but house renos need finishing by end of month so busy times. Maybe next year.

I don't know if we were even aware that the local news was there. But for next year we should contact them and see about getting a bit more of a story going.

Good points Martin & Mat - the kind of guy I am, I already have a plan of action for improvements for next year in regards to the trail run/camping portion, will go over this at next meeting. As you can see, here is George paddling off with my fiance. They say if you love something let it go, I got her back so George wasn't paddling as fast as he had hoped.View media item 34128

Also agree with Martin, I was trying hard to see if I could spot my dad's truck in Jeff's pics to see if he went, and then Bill says he posted pics in the members only forum? What the heck is this, a secret event where you can't show us all the cool cruisers that showed up so that some of us die hards can finally get off the bubble and come down for the actual show?

I would guess there were about 30 land cruisers at the show. No 45's, some nice 42's (mine not included LOL!) and some 81's, a 62, etc. There were about 50 Toyota trucks there (1st gens to tacos from the BC Toyta 4WD Facebook group which has 3000 members).
Several jeep clubs, the NW Mud Racing Association, and a Dodge Ram club to boot!
Vendors included Paden Offroad out of Surrey, EBI, 4WDABC, and a couple of others.
It was a lot of fun, hope you can come down one day Deny!
