TLCA = Toyota LAND CRUISER Association.......just sayin'

So a 100 or 200 series is okay with you but a 4Runner, FJC or Taco isn't?

TLCA = Toyota LAND CRUISER Association.......just sayin'
x100!TLCA does stand for Toyota Land Cruiser Association, but it represents awesome people who are like minded Toyota enthusists enjoying camraderie and their trucks.

I know Mark is a poster here and I was dismayed to see in my most recent issue of Toyota Trails that he will no longer be the tech editor. His tech column was the main reason I even belonged to the TLCA and I've learned a ton reading it over the past 10 years. Since TT hasn't had his tech column for the past couple of issues i suspected something was up.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I will not renew my membership in TLCA. When they start putting a picture of a Toyota truck on the cover o TT, it's time to go. And when there are more pics and articles about FJ Cruisers or Tacomas or 4 Runners in TT than Land Cruisers, I'm out.
Best of luck Mark and thanks for your columns. Thanks for the vent guys,
Pete

Almost all of you guys miss my point! I was mistakenly under the impression that TLCA stood for Toyota LAND CRUISER Association - some of you don't even know that it's two words! No, I'm not quitting because Mark W. is no longer doing his column. I'm not renewing because the TLCA no longer represents or reflects my interest in Land Cruisers. If you want it to be the Toyota 4x4 Association, fine. If you still don't understand, see LC's post above. I'm not leaving the TLCA because of this particular issue of TT....this has been building for a couple of years. The organization has simply abandoned the Land Cruiser hard core.

... some of you don't even know that it's two words! ...
I think if the TLCA wants to grow and survive and in particular Toyota Trails, it should somewhat be reflective of what its' target group is driving. There aren't as many FJ-40s, 60s and 80s floating around in comparison to newer Tacomas, 100s, and FJ Cruisers. Since the 200 was introduced some time ago, I have only seen 1 or 2 rolling down the road.
I like the cruiser content of TT, but at some point down the road I will probably be driving a Tacoma and I hope TLCA and TT displays the same interest in that Toyota 4x4 as they do Land Cruisers.
