Got Mark to build me one of his carbs for my Pig, WOW
I had no idea a 2F could be this smooth and responsive, it's almost like Fuel Injection........I have heard of the magic he and Jim C perform on the Asin's but had not witnessed it until today.
Props to the crazy geetar playin hippy.:beer::beer:

Glad to hear the good news!! I can't wait to install my "Mark A." built carb on my almost finished rebuilt 2f.

I hope I have the same luck.

You are really that surprised?

Butch,
Can you shoot me a pm as to what Mark may charge for a carb rebuild? I have a stock carb on my 75-40 that is running like crap from sitting way, way, way too long. I can ask Mark directly but thought you might have an idea.
Or Mark, if you see this, shoot me an idea of cost when you can.

Clean Mark A. carb

Here was mine 2 years ago.

For whatever reason, they did not require me to smog it this year. It was done in '07, passed, and should be due, but I sent in the paperwork recently, and it did not require a smog test this year.

After two years it still purrs like a kitten. The whole motor runs cool and smooth all day long.

Since these pics I have different (better) fuel lines and have painted the valve cover. The carb is not this clean any more either. :(

Okay, here are a couple before/after pics of my F.5 carb and intake when I rebuilt her last year. She's still clean, too...;-) Bead blasted intake and 'elbow greased' carb...she runs awesome.

Oh, and that Classico Cabernet Marinara spaghetti sauce is great, too....

Jim C. rebuilt carb, blasted powder coated intake, de-rusted, blasted, high temp powder coated Downey headers, polished valve cover (before powder coating)
With the rusty body awaiting attention...
