Thanks @Jdc1 and @MoCoNative. I was thinking of trying that location and have heard the sheetmetal can make the sound amplify. I will give that a shot this weekend.

Thanks @JKIII FJ40. I will try that if all else fails. That, for sure, will silence the fuel pump. Hopefully relocating it will get me quiet enough, but if not I will go the RobbMC route. Any links to your 74 build in IH8MUD would be appreciated. I am still working through some bugs on my 74 and any reference ideas are helpful.

Grouchy, Cavitation will also make these pumps scream. Cavitation can be induced by increased fuel temperature and suction. It’s what inspired me to get all my fuel components out of the engine bay, including the regulator, and having only a single supply line enter the engine bay. Prior to that, my tank was getting heated by the fuel return and I had cavitation issues.
I see you’re using 5/16” fuel line. Holley recommends having at least 3/8” which also AN-6. Also Make sure your pre-filter and post filter are rated for the same or more GPM than your pump.

@Steamer I placed the pump as close to the tank for that reason (reduce pulling), but I think/hope I can move the pump a bit further down the line to move it to the frame. The filters were the 2 included in the Sniper kit. I tried to wrap the inlet fuel line in the engine bay with cooltech heat wrap, but it is a hot area right over the headers and past the thermostat housing. I plan to convert to 3/8 hardlines in the engine bay with AN6 fittings, a pressure gauge, a better path and with heat protective wrap (again), but am knee deep in door rebuilds currently. Planned to swap that over sometime soon (bank account permitting).

I have 5/16 hose from the tank to the first filter, but run 3/8 hose everywhere else. I think I am OK with cavitation, but any feedback on my setup would be appreciated. Doing all this fuel line and EFI conversion for the first time. The guidance on this forum is helping me greatly.
