I'm still open for Saturday. It is supposed to be cooler, but I think most of the precip will be to the north and east. Maybe we should try a Puerco run for all who are interested. How about if we plan to meet at the end of Southern around 9:30 on Saturday?

For those who haven't been before, take 528 from the Cottonwood Mall up the hill to Rio Rancho. When you hit the street light at Southern, take a left and go ALL the way west until the road dead-ends into the sand dunes. I've never clocked the mileage, but I'd guess that it's 10 - 15 miles from 528 until the road dead-ends. We'll be on CB channel 40, or Ham frequency 146.460. Just in case, my cell is 238-7226.

John - from the east mountains (I-40 and Hwy 14), I'd guess that it will take close to an hour to get out there - probably between 45 - 60 minutes of driving time.

Paul - are you still in for the 20th? If so, maybe a Puerco run would be good for you. There are lots of options for trails and obstacles from mild to wild. It could be a good place to try out your truck and get a feel for its capabilities.

Sadly, for me it would have to be a day trip as well. As of right now though I would say I am a yes.

If it works for you, come on out - we'll show you around out there.

Sounds great - we'll plan on seeing you and the family.

I might make this run...I've got the itch.

We'll see if I can get the day off from honey do's...

Hope you can make it - we haven't seen you in a while!

So I am taking it that we are going Puerco. Where exactly is north portal and where are we meeting? And what time are we shooting for?

Agreed. We should try and get more people out if they can make it. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Weather will be too cold to work in the backyard, so I'm thinkin' I'm in...

One maybe. How long do you guys plan to be out? I would like to be back to watch the Lobo game. On top of that, I have plenty of things I want to get done. I guess I will have to see how I feel in the mroning which way I want to go. Work will still be here next weekend, but you guys won't be there next weekend. OK, heads or tails? Heads, I go; Tails, I work on things here.

Now I'm a maybe. The snow is coming down heavily here in the mountains, and the news says that I-40 is closed from Eubank to Santa Rosa. I guess I'll see how things look in the morning and post up then.

We're going to try and be there at 0930 - we'll see how the little one is doing in the morning.
