Elbert, what tranny you planning on putting in ?
The 4L60E/80E or the GM manual ?

Yes, its nice to not have to worry about aDizzy being banged against the fire wall....

As it looks now it would be the GM NV4500 manual 5 speed. I should know in a week or two if we get the issues fixed with the current setup I have. I do think the automatics are a great choice... only down side in my view is the ability of the manual to control speed/motion better offroad, espically going down steep inclines. Autos really shine to me on the other hand with the ability to move slow in a climbing situation...

Still somewhat of an open question with me right now. One other option out there is to do away with the marks adapter and go with the ranger torque splitter.

I do miss having a 5 speed tranny under this pig... and yes AT are more prone to failure......
I would go with a manual tranny just for the cool factor...

This is what she looks like now days !!
It has taken us to Alaska, Co, UT, DV and hopefully Belize this year and eventually to La Argentina con LOS GAUCHOS CHE !!!!!!
