:wrench:answer was in tech; they cannot be mixed.....for example a 3.7 rear with a 4.11 front........darn:frown: both would have to be changed....:steer:

Howdy! Works fine as long as your not wheeling. I have 5.29's in the rear of my mini truck, but the $$$ have not come a long to replace the front 4.11's yet. I just never use 4wd in it. Gotta win that PowerBall, ya know??? John

The 3.7 should be easy to find. They are a swap for any '60 as well. My '55 is running with 3.7's from an '81 BJ60. Someone with a '60 might trade straight across.

John, have to use the 4WD once in a while.......this is the families all round do it all vehicle including kiddie hauler and camper. would hate to lose the 4WD feature with winter here:frown:

So are they saying the 74 has the older 3 speed t-case with the newer 4 speed trans?
