just pulled the trigger on this and an h55 and new transfer case with 5th gear from @cruisermatt. I'm not a motorhead so this seemed the best for me to do here by myself with a reluctant wife as the primary helper. What did you decide on @Snyper2384?

I think with the manual transmission this will be a great setup. Post a build thread so we can follow along!

I am about to pull the trigger on getting a new 3fe. Rebuilt Early Model 3FE Long Block Engine for 1987-1992 Toyota Land Cruisers - Landcruiser Parts - https://manafrelv.com/product/rebuilt-3fe-engine/
For 9800 it has high compression pistons bored. 40 over decked head and rv camshaft. He claims a 20% increase in power. My question is first of all has anyone ever done business with them. 2 is the engine worth the almost 10k. Or would it be cheaper to do a different engine swap from start to finish.

Soooo?! What did you do? I finished my 3FE HIGH PERFORMANCE FROM MANAFRE AND H55 and new transfer case and 5th gear overdrive from @cruisermatt. I guarantee if you go this route, you will not be disappointed. Lots of get up and go. Not a v8 but I easily keep up with traffic now and a downshift to pass actually does something. I’ll finish my first tank of gas tomorrow and it looks like the milage is better but again it’s running premium gas. I did this as a total nonmechanic with really no help. Ok there were more than a few calls to Matt and Rick at Manafre. Only hard part was welding the new cross member for the tranny. Got burned a lot from the droppings on the vertical welds. But I’m new at that also. It takes me 4 times longer than most cuz I’m doing this alone and never even seen this stuff done so I’m waaaay too lazy to do a build thread. It’s nothing fancy and I don’t crawl and such. Did the knuckles and ome 2” lift but that all has been done a thousand times by really smart guys on MUD.
