I do tow with it. One of the many reasons I dropped the coin that I did was because of the setup. Here is what I tow with it:

It has been a great setup. I usually am towing from SLC Utah down to Hurricane and Moab, about a 4-5 drive, through some mountain and canyon hills. I drive it pretty conservative, keeping eye on temps. It has the Magnusson SC on it, tuned, Cat back stainless dual exhaust. Power is all there when you need it, even on the hills. Some key things that make the towing doable is the WD hitch, and brake controller. That keeps the RV in line, reduces the sway, and makes it track great down the road. I also have a big brake kit installed. Ceika 6 piston fronts and 4 piston rears with drilled and slotted rotors. Amazing brakes. Put you through the windshield brakes. Those really help in slowing things down, even in a panic situation. I have the OBDIILink to watch temps and make sure trans and engine temps stay in check. So far, even in 100 degree heat, I don't see those needles moving much at all.
The down side....MPG.... as to be expected. Fully loaded Im probably close to #8000 with all the gear, water, and bikes. Heavy for sure. But I have been super happy with how it rolls and how well it does.

Unladen, the LX screams when you hit the pedal. Freeway overtaking is a breeze, and off the line it will put you in your seat. Plus the whine of a SC spooling up is cool too.
All in all, I have loved it. It allows us to go off grid to some remote places, with comfort and power.
The AHC system has been flawless. It does a great job of handling the weight and movement, it keeps the rig level and handles some decently rough roads while pulling the trailer. With the exception of a sensor lift, I haven't touched a thing on the AHC.
Works great.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you want any other info.

Awesome setup you have there. I see you added fender flares. What brand are they and where did you source them from?

For the Magnuson they provide the tune via VFTuner (the tuner comes with the s/c and then you fill out some forms and they send you the tune file). I have it ready to go in but we'll do that last. You can always customize from there. I plan on putting mine on a dyno, just for peace of mind that everything is running safely.

Probably not what you want to hear, but I've read through the 1,000+ pages of this thread and many users have posted the canned tune that Magnuson provides is far from ideal and can have knock under certain conditions etc.

I recently went to a tune from OTT and it fixed lots of quirks I had from previous tunes.

Can you give some examples of the quirks which were sorted, and your experience?

Also interested as I'm wrapping up my Magnuson install. Gas tank goes back in tomorrow.

One of mine that was specific to me was getting a CEL of a lean code at idle once warm. In the end it had to do with the FIC 775cc injectors I had chosen from a tuners recommendation years back. OTT was able to tune that out, but had the same findings as my previous tuner. There was something squirrelly going on with those injectors so I swapped to the proven DW 650cc and all is good.

The other quirks I mentioned was low rpm hesitation from what I would describe as sluggishness from the transmission and not a very responsive throttle. Some of this is from being at altitude since I only get about half the boost I would get at sea level.

From the opinion of the Tundra guys the Magnuson tune sometimes runs lean at WOT and had knock at high loads. The ring gaps are tight on these engines in stock form so the thought is to tune them to run a bit on the rich side which keeps the ring landings cool and prevents damage to the engine.
