MAF Sensor Help Needed.

My 78 2FE 40 shares a MAF sensor from what I believe is an 89 FJ 62. Model # 2250 - 61010. While trying to unplug the sensor I messed up bad. Removed 2 screws holding the connector to the body and pulled. YIKES!! Is there some way I can access the body and repair this. Secondly can someone explain how that plug comes apart .

there is a metal spring clip that holds the plug to the socket
on either side use a small pick to remove spring clip

can't help on the other, maybe remove phillips screws and take apart
