Yes, Wood. Lots of standing deadwood to split.

Fischer wood stove, takes up to 2ft logs. It is open construction inside with 2 lofts and a catwalk connecting them. So the heat circulates well.

Used a generator for construction and use it once in a while if I "Need" electricity. We use a cooler as a fridge. Propane stove and mostly cook on the wood stove in winter. We haul in drinking water and catch rain water from the roof for shower.

Propane Zodi shower with a full stall. I put a 16gal reservoir in the ceiling and ran a line for the sink and shower. We pour the water in from the 2nd floor, to fill the reservoir.

Have a composting toilet from Sunmar. I had my doubts but after useing it many times over 3 years, it is incredible. No smell issues and it is amazing the cleanliness of the mulch that comes out.

We use Alladin mantle lamps for light, they are extremely bright. Some candles.

Actually, we are asked constantly how we get by without electricity. The both of us admit that we really dont miss it there. We cook awesome meals and the groceries are way less expensive...
Keep in mind this is a weekend place for us and we occasionally go up for a week or two stretch.
