I'm selling my M103A3 military trailer for $500 obo. The M103 is a platform for multiple trailer types. This originally likely was a generator trailer though these were multiple platfomed. This type of trailer is hard to find because of its original use. This is a 1.5 ton trailer, but I've seen these with a load of brick 4 feet tall over the entire bed and the overload springs barely engaged. It would be difficult to overload it. The trailer is in excellent, but modified, condition. The modifications include a truck-bed storage box (with lock and key) welded on the front, see pics below. Also, the jack is not original military issue, but a instead a aftermarket heavy duty jack. It has been wired to a 7 plug, 12V system which allows it to be hooked up to civilian vehicles. It could be modified to the standard 4- prong plug easily though too. It has the original (2nd generation) hydraulic brakes with no electronic brake, hence it could be switched to the 4 prong standard plug. It shows very little sign of wear with only superficial rust on the axle and leaf packs (I bought it out in UT). I have all the bows for it and these are hard to find. Canvas tops for it are available though I don't have one. I attached plywood sides to it with brackets so the bows have no holes in them. The tires are 9x20s and are about 40 inches tall overall and in decent condition with only a few superficial cracks and 3/8 tread left. They will roll over anything. It has the original pintle hitch, which is great for heavy towing and off-road. Plus, I have a hitch for it that allows it to be towed with a standard Class 3 or 4 hitch on a 2" receiver. I was told by the previous owner that the wheel bearings were recently redone, <1 year ago. I bought it the past spring, used to to haul my things from UT to WI and it performed admirably. I had a potential buyer who was going to put a water tank on it, but that sale ended up not happening. I've thought that with a little modification, this would make a great hunting stand too.

I hate to see this trailer go, but its too much trailer for my purposes. I did tow it from UT to WI with my 1985 FJ60 which has a TBI SBC 350 and stock suspension. It was a slow trip. I need to sell this trailer so make an offer with all reasonable offers considered. If you are interested, call me to set up a time to see it, mid-day and evenings are best. (951)207-two eight zero eight on my cell. This trailer is sold in an "as is" condition. Lets make a sale happen, this is a great trailer!

Anyone got a bump for this trailer?

Thanks for that. Just remember its obo too.

dont want to bump myself, but I'm wondering what people think of this trailer. Am I asking a good price? Its in great shape and its about what they go for at auction. I'm hoping to sell this sooner rather than later.

You could probably get some bites on this thing for $500. Condition is rough and its ugly. A M101A3, A2, and A1 are what people are looking for. The most sought after offroad trailers is the M416. If you want to dump this thing bring down the price. Shipping costs are also what people are looking at as well. Just my $.02.

Good luck with the sale.

Price has been revised to make an offer as there has only been minimal interest in it on mud and craigslist. I can see how people would think this is ugly. It looks quite a bit like the M101, but it has a much higher capacity. The plywood comes off people! I didn't put holes in the bows to put the plywood on either!

$500

Ya $500 would be my best offer and that would include shipping. It would make a great build for a park it and go wheel home base.

Thanks for offering. I'll consider it. I'm gonna give it some time with the updated best offer here on mud and c-list.

The snow has all melted and now the trailer is accessible again. Springtime bump!

I saw my trailer when I was back in WI for the holidays. She needs a new home boys! TTT

Where is it?

This trailer is gonna kill me. I'm open to any offers. Just remember that I could get a couple hundred for scrap for this beast.
