This is a Canadian M101 trailer. It is the cleanest one of a truckload I purchased from Canada about 12 years ago. It is the one I kept for myself. I have not used it as much as I once did, having moved onto mostly motorcycle touring, and it deserves better than to just sit around.

VA titled as a 'Home Built' trailer, with VA DMV, VIN plate attached to the tongue.

Body tub and subframe are solid, there is light surface rust in several areas but no perforations. Bed bottom is flat and in great shape. I sprayed and cleaned the underside when I got it, but a lot of that paint is starting to peel. (not compatible with the CARC coating I think)

Currently there is a 1/2" rubber mat in the bed made from a stump grinder's out-feed belt. It's basically a flat mat made with ply's like a tire. Very stout.

As you can see in the pics I mounted cylinder racks to the tongue and added a tongue lift. Cylinder mounts are bolted on with the bolts from the front maneuvering handles. (which I think I have somewhere..?, not promised at this time but will update as soon as I can confirm I have them)

All factory SS tarp hooks on tub.

M416 trailer chains and hooks installed, without modification, so there are hooks that will work with vehicles other than the Iltis.

Factory landing leg still works fine.

Spare factory tire and rim. Obviously tire is OLD and should only be used in emergencies, or replaced. I just left as is as an emergency measure. (it is a pretty compact configuration)

The rims are factory but the tires are 245/75's from an old 1ton truck I had. 'E' rated tires.

I also made a rear receiver hitch that i used for a bike rack and a luggage tray.

I you don't know about these trailers, please google it and read up, much better info out there than I can recount or articulate here. They are just a great camping/overland/off-road firewood hauling/misc trailer.

Pintle ring rotates freely, wheel bearings were repacked, and replacement lights were installed. Factory wiring harness is still there, unmolested. Parking-brake cable frees up with some Zepreserve or similar penetrating chemical. I have freed it numerous times over the years, but without regular usage it re-siezes in a matter of months.

So, this is a rare, good shape military surplus trailer, that has been around a while.
If you are looking for a newish commercial grade trailer please check out the offering currently being made (Starting at around $4000, bare) and go from there. This is made for hard work and is no campground queen. Please know your expectations and priorities. Rugged, hd, steel trailer here.

$2000 asking locally. Don't know the market, make me an offer and come get it.

There is a gallery under my profile with more pictures of this trailer.

Thanks for looking.

Nice looking trailer! I'd like to have one but, due to the size, that price is a little more than I'd pay. If you came down to 1200 I'd be there in about a week and pick it up.
I'm sure someone will take it off your hands. S/F, Spark..

Thanks Spark. We'll see. I hate to sell it because replacing it with anything in this condition will be impossible. I'm sure I'll be regretting the hell out of selling it in a month or two......
