There are several threads about replacing the horrible cup holder on the LX570. I modeled up my own version in CAD that fit everything I wanted and 3D printed it. Finally got it right after 5 prints.

It includes a spot for a phone, mini flashlight, ChapStick, pencil/pen or marker, and standard hand sanitizer, as well as accommodates small and large (Nalgene or big Yeti) bottles and cups. It can even handle cups with handles. This is for the Lexus LX570 from 2008-2015 only.

The STL file is posted to Thingiverse for free if anyone wants it: LX570 Lexus Cup Holder Replacement (2008-15) by spatula912 - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7278115

Printed this last night on my Bambu P1S w/ PETG (my truck is filthy), I think I like it better than the last one I printed, does fit better.
How did you get the surface finish on yours?

Using a step file would get rid of the slightly flat radius walls, then printing on a 45 degree angle (if possible based on design) would allow for minimal layer lines on the top surface. Also, ABS/ASA GF/CF would basically eliminate them.

For example, my rear cupholders are printed at 42 degrees with asa GF

I had my buddy print one for me, came out great. C

an you share how you got the old cup holder mechanism out? Not just the insert but I see the entire structure with the lid has to come out. How much do I need to disassemble to get it out> Thanks.

On my printer you can adjust the layer thickness at different parts of the print. I just made it so that towards the top it decreased the layer thickness to make it more of a smooth curve. You can also do some sanding if it bothers you.
