After my BL goes in, I'm thinking I might cut out the rear cross member and do a high-clearance, low profile bumper as a replacement. Keeping the upper half of the plastic, this could still look pretty sleeper and not cost much/any weight, depending on how it's done. Says the guy whose BL has been sitting on a shelf for 2 years :o

Thanks for the the inputs. I think I'm keeping the current configuration as there's more to eek out of it.

Current limitation (if I can even call it that) is the front bumper clearance. Even with 37s (3" lift), .75" body lift, 1.5" suspension sensor lift, and 2" AHC high on demand suspension lift, bringing the factory tupperwear over 7" higher than stock, I'm still on occasion catching things. Par for the course really when playing in the rocks, but I like how some of my buddies can use their front high clearance bumpers to play brail and find the right line.

Breakover and underbelly are great and I almost never touch anything there and haven't bothered with skids. Sidesteps are good but could use some re-enforcement of the Slee Slidersteps to really grind over rocks as they've been tweaked a bit. Plus could use AHC component protection.

Rear departure is solid with the E&E rear skids, and I have touched down on the corners a couple times, again par for the course. Thinking I may try cut and flare up the corners just a bit. Did try a couple week ago but my old TIG was not up to the job putting out a weak 116 amps. I got a new 205A welder and may just try again.

I'd like to re-gear to 4.88s (from 4.3s, for towing downhill engine braking safety) and throw in a front locker while I'm at it.

Lower on the priority list may be 38s, 13.5" widths, or both. But that will likely need a different wheel.

Plenty of meat on the bone to chew on.

As it currently sits, when rubber meets the rocks, she works fantastic. Just did Big Bear Gold Mountain trail which is a Jeep badge of honor trail rated a 7. I did find an optional line which got things tippy but generally easy peasy. Here's the gatekeeper.

Since I'm moving to larger than 35s I ran into the issue with the windshield washer tank. I think I want to make a 1" shorter tank that fits in the OEM area that retains all the stock pumps\sensors. So I scanned the area after my inner fender raise.

The stock washer tank is surpisingly complex with the number of pumps and interfaces.

It's a game of millimeters and there's a couple things you can do to increase tire clearance against the tank. Not sure if it will be enough.

The tank is hung on the inner fender and has about a 1/2" clearance all around. I imagine it can be mounted higher up against the outer fender. There's another 3/8" to glean from the re-routing of the hoses underneath. I relocated them to the relief channel with some tie wrap ankers and shaved stock plastic guide hangers off.

Unfortunately not enough for my situation. I cut off the rear mount and the locating pins and was able to shove it up a good amount but the tire still runs into the tank at bump.

I'm impressed that you're doing this without a body lift. Also seems like the Kings can accommodate some more uptravel?

I think that is due to the longer suspension arms from the Tundra.
