More mechanically educated compatriots, any idea on why the brakes look like they're low on fluid after pressing the pedal a few times, but return to full if the vehicle sits a while? Bad master? Something else? There is inconsistent amounts of dead play in the pedal before the brakes engage depending on usage. Brakes were bled and serviced ~3000 miles ago. Pads and rotors were replaced on all four corners at the same time. There are no visible leaks under the vehicle. Thanks!

Model year, miles, ?

The brake fluid level does that because the fluid fills the accumulator. If you look closely at the brake fluid reservoir, it has instructions how to read/fill brake fluid.

Bleeding this master cylinder and getting all the air out of the system (and ABS) can be a bit more tricky than other vehicles. Might be worthwhile to take it to a Toyota specialist to bleed.

Got it, thank you!!
