looks like the face has been machined.. one of the pics has all the shards of metal around it still mounted in the lathe space.@Beast of Berlin : can you describe the complete process the shop did on your wheels ie: strip (what type of chemical/time), ?bead blast, primer, paint (2K catalyzed?), machine the face, clear coat?
Looks good.
Well, if you've got a lathe sitting around that can handle a 16" wheel (and that looks like it has room to spare), you really aren't operating at a "DIY" level, even if you do it yourself. That's not a hobby lathe.pics look amazing, but details is what we want. Did you do it yourself or have a company do it?
Stripping, aluminum oxide blasting, priming, liquid paint, CNC turning with total feed 1mm, clear powder coating, finished.@Beast of Berlin : can you describe the complete process the shop did on your wheels ie: strip (what type of chemical/time), ?bead blast, primer, paint (2K catalyzed?), machine the face, clear coat?
