Is accessing the main cd unit as easy as removing the 4 screws on the center console? I am trying to swap my cd player for a new oem unit.

Yes, pretty simple. IIRC, I took the screws out for a the shifter trim also. There was a plug underneath that took a little finagling to get your hand in to unplug, but should only take ya 30 min tops.

Thank you - did you have to remove the rear

Thanks - Did you first have to remove the rear press to fit vent piece where the CD changer face is?

I dont remember to be honest. I know there is one bolt on each side by the seat mounts, then the ones up front. I think i just sat in the drivers seat and lifted it like I was opening the lid and the whole thing just rolled back. Im headed out to the shop in a bit, Ill take a look at it quick.

ya, that back panel with the changer and vent just snaps in. Take your time if its cold, but it will just pop out with a pick or small screwdriver. Pretty sure I pulled the CD cassette out of it first. Was a trip to see what was stuck in mine.... My black LX had all church and Christmas music in it and another LX I had came loaded with Korean pop. I have them somewhere still..... lol

Did you pop that out first before attempting to remove the whole console?
