I turned my console sub box into a storage bin. It's not pretty, but it works.

If anyone cares, I used 3/16" plexiglass to make the floor. I cut the inside ribs to allow the plexiglass to sit on top of the screw posts. I then trimmed the screw posts on the top half so it sat flush. I used toolbox liner to cover the bottom to minimize rattles.

I did the same thing with mine, even used weather stripping to fill the voids. I’ve been planning on making a real cubby but it’s been like this for a few years now.
