Looks like things are coming along and the welds are getting better :)
Thanks for posting about this LED light! These prices are a steal compared to everywhere else I have looked.
Any reason why you are going for the smaller square light 110mm 1125 lumen?
I think for $15 more the 125mm 2000 lumen one is worth it...Although I don't know what that even looks like.
I am going to order one of these for the tire carrier...

No work done last night on the bumper but I did order this yesterday.

http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/LED-Work-Lamp

I ordered it in a flood pattern and it will be used as a rev and work light. Very low Amp draw so I can use it for long periods with out worry of drain on the battery.

Tonight I hope to get the side wings all mocked up and ready for welding, still need to sort out the top of the sides and then the rear deck to fill the gap between the bumper and the body.

When that is all done then I will start on the swing outs, I had planed on using 1/8th 2x3 tubing but have been warned that that is to thin possibly so I guess I will need to get 3/16th, this thing is going to very heavy.

I wanted maximum light with minimal Amp draw, I actually got the round 1350lumen 116mm lamp in flood. The size of that light will work better where I was hoping to mount it.

The welds are better now that I got the welder dialled in and some practice. I started actually welding the thing last night. I got to the point where I was not able to mock any more up with out welding some parts.

I got pictures last night but have not had any time to upload them or post.

Plan to put a few hours in tomorrow and am hope full that I can get the wings done and start finish welding. Then Sunday if I have time I will go and buy all the flap disk and grinding disks in stock. Then get to the that messy nightmare.

Just use a grinding disk as you said to get the main stuff down. I only used one grinding disk for both bumpers and about 1.75 40 grit flap disks for both.
Although you have more lines to grind down...
It was not as bad to do as I thought.

Yeah interesting. All angular- will be cool to see the finished product. Well done.

Thanks guys, started a new job this week so have had little time to work on it and even less time to keep up with the daily progress. Thanks for posting spy shots Axel.

Hi Jeremy,
My laser cutting place had an issue and everything was delayed by a bit. They are not sure they will have all my stuff done in time for today and the meeting so I might not have the tire carrier plates there this evening for you to look at. If that is the case I will setup up a time with you that works, once I know they are done.
Sorry for the delay.

Not a problem, I'm not at the point I need it yet anyway.

I picked up my LED flood light yesterday along with the gas struts from McMastercarr, the LED is really nice. The Gas struts are 90lbs and man are they hard to move lol.

Hi Jeremy,
I got the swingout bits in, I can either meet up with you or I can post pics up if you want. Hope the build is going well.

I guess a picture, we have a last Min big project jump out at us so the bumper is on hold.

Here are some photos of the products, cut and happy.
I'll post up some pics of it while it is in application and welded to some nice square tube when I do Kim't swingout.
All of it was set up for 2.5" square (same size as receiver hitch material) to allow any receiver hitch adaptors to be used through the piece in the middle of the tire. That way you can easily have a Jack-all, shovel, or even bike mount, added to the swing out.

hijack over :D
