there are various folks making different parts are we just making these molds and everything based off of old parts? just a thought but what about creating a solid model that is perfect and then having the parts made? i do this all day with urathne/silcone and bunch of other stuff. if people have good examples i can produce SLA master peices that molds could be made from... this would elminate poor surface finishes in gaskets and poor joints in weaterstripping... let me know if any one wants to help out with this effort.

LV specific stuff like weather striping for the windows, light gaskets, mostly soft goods. i am happy with everything i have purchased but i can also see that there are improvements that can be made. i.e. i can see the cracks that where in the original taillight gaskets that were used to make the mold that my new ones came from. so just small things like that, i'm kinda nit picky about small things like that.

yea, not sure of the manufacturing process, but the quality is not like factory. But I cannot complain bc it is better than nothing and at least someone took the initiative to get them made. I would like to have a new piece for every rubber part on my truck.

i cant think of a single bit of rubber i dont need replaced. i'm game for whatever you have in mind. door seals, gaskets, etc. all could need some love. i'm sure if someone has a fj of any type they could use some rubber. lemme know what you have in mind and i'll help you out however i can!

Same here, still collecting parts in case I have to keep it.

so could we compile a list of rubber bits that we want? if i could get my hand on them i can model them and send them out for quote. and then we would have nearer to OEM quality.

you do this stuff for a living? like a pro? I have a set of window gaskets i've been meaning to repro for the community but life gets in the way. But i'm nowhere near a pro and don't even have time to watch one on tv..

just graduating in mechanical engineering but i have been doing 3D modeling for a couple of years and i have made some contacts in industry.
what kind of condition are your rubbers in?

Decent, not perfect but better than what is in the truck. I could arrange to have them sent out via Moab travelers in May or pm regular email addy and i'll get some pics to you for evaluation.

PMed, and moab would be fine, i should only need one, once i have it modeled i can make a mirror image i think.

Id like to get a set of rubbers for mine. Been tossing around the idea of having some repro'ed too. Also need tail lenses.

I need wing window ,& door hinge ,rubbers ? what about that little outside rubber on bottom of wing window ?
