Any input on swapping 60 axles on an lv? is it easier to just add disc break kit. I know the axles are wider. Does this mean I need to move rear axles back to fit in rear cutout if running 33s?

Also....any info on an updated gauge cluster that matches the old ones?...tired of messing with the old gauges.

if you can wait until monday for an answer on the 60 series axle into an lv . that is when surgery is schedualed on my lv. I don't think the fj60's or 62's ever came with rear disk brakes though so you are going to have to have some sort of after market sidk brake set up regardlass. I thing the fzj80 rear axle would be too wide ofr the lv if you wanted to keep the stock fenders and that is the only stock cruiser axle that came with disks.
s far as fitting 33'sI run a 4" lift and skinny 33"s tI think the widest you can go is 10.5 without rubbing issues and I am keeping my axle in the stock locatioin.
I will take pictures this moday
now as far as the cluster goes I am really pleased with the one I just installed from 'amaurer'.

swap went fine. except for the scramble for a lost C clip for one of hte rear axle shafts and the unforseen disk brake brakets needing to be changed otherwise the axle ends up about 3 1/8" wider or 1.6" a side or sovery close to 3" though. my widened OEM wheels that are 16x8 with 5.25 bs fit like a gloove and it looks stock. unfortunately I did not take pics yet. but will try to remeber this coming week end when I have to get back in there to put the rear disck calipers on the new brackets.
basically cut everything off the fj62 axle housing got some new perches cut a boad the exact measurement of the stock axles distance between perches set the pinion angle and tacked the new perches in. pulled everything back apart and welded them in then put it all back together.
now I have a fine spline diff in the rear with beeferer axle shafts and drive shaft bolts.

looking forward to some pics

here are some pics of the rdb brakcet going on the fj62 axle.
?I have noticed its a bit smoother of a ride. now
