So i removed the old fuzzy visors for there infamous falling down and cracking appearances ! I am upgrading it with Lexus LS400 sunvisors which are a night and day comparison to the factory ones that are originally installed in the 80 series.. here are some pics.. I will do an installation write up if you guys want one.. as well as follow up with step by step pictures

Interested as well. Looks like Ls400 visors are cheap on ebay

Just snagged a pair for $12.50 off eBay !

First when you get your visors you will want to remove this little white tooth clip as shown in the pictures. Do this on both visors.

Once that has been removed set it off to the side. Then you will want to focus on removing the main plastic white harness that encases the positive and negative wires. Quite an intricate design, there are clips on both wires to hold them within the casing. Take a clothes pin to pick them up to allow you to release the plastic housing, the will then pull right off.. see pics.

Then remove your old visors from your 80 series. You will see a little blue plastic harness coming from the roof which will be removed also by snapping up its little plastic clips. Once that has been removed. Attach the positive with positive and negative with negative (Duhh) ! Well not so easy .. as the wires as shown in the pics above of the LS400 visors are blue and red.. the ones coming from the headliner in the 80 series are blue and white-with a black stripe. Will take more pics and have to find out which is which.. leave your doors open while doing this!! Do not lock your truck !! If the fuse is blown it takes out your door locks aswell and you cannot open your truck ! .. will report back soon

so guys.. looks like I hit a dead end for a bit until I hand it over to my mechanic.. fit and finish is IMPECCABLE ! .. I used a multimeter to find out which is positive which is negative from the headliner. White with black stripe is negative, blue with yellow stripe is your positive. So I plugged it in and dead end.. thought it was the bulb, put the bulb to the wires and it lit up.. not sure what else it could be.. perhaps I will have to strip both ends leaving it copper to copper and having it work like that however do not have the time right now. I believe it is not receiving good power due to a weak contact. Even without them having a light.. I would still do this any day.. ! Will report back guys and hope to get them working within a few days or so.. I know they will !

Here is the blue attachment clip that is factory. This will need to be removed eventually to expose both negative and positive wire ends. Proceeding I show both wires being tested with multimeter.. will take pics of install tomorrow.. very clean and the quality is top notch.. kinda surprised they didnt come with these from factory!

P.S. make sure the pair you guys get also include the little plastic mounts that hold the other end of the sunvisor !! That will need a mod also simply of just cutting off the little plastic peg that sticks out... super easy then just file it down.. screw positioning lines up the same as OEM

Oh man Schweeeet!

This is exactly why as soon as I read this post I said the hell with this I am ordering a pair and trusting this dude..

Thanks everyone ! Blame it on my OCD that my sagging visors had me going crazy.. I owned a 97 Lexus LS400 coach edition and noticed they were the same setup pretty much when I have my 97 40th anniversary.. didn't feel like touching it however cause that truck was a DIAMOND .. I wanted it all original and they didnt sag. My new to me 96 lx450 however.. gonna have some fun with !
