I have a 700R4/NP203/TLC3SP/4.88, in my1/71 FJ40, so that puts me about 140:1. When I am in 1st/lo/lo I have to stand on the brakes to hold it from rolling when I am going down hill.

I had stock master cylinder and booster with the restrictor taken out and 4 wheel discs. Today I put in a 76 booster with a 86 supra master cylinder and it is no better.

What is everyone else with low gears running? When you are in your lowest gear can you hold it without standing on the brake pedal?

TIA,

im a little confused about your question, If you are in Gear 1st / Lo / Lo and your going down hill your engines compression should do all the work for you.. Maybe its an issue with your tourqe converter and all the tourqe being produced by your doubler.. Get a Standard Tranny!!! NV4500

a couple choices are popping the tranny into neutral or changing to a torque converter that has a higher rated stall speed ... say about 1800.
