WANTED ONE 32" mudgrip tire for 15" rim to be used as a spare. I'm picking up a set of 4 from the owner he has 5 but will not separate unless I show up with a spare for him. I would like to have 5 instead of 4. Anyone have one laying around or know of where I could find one (used tire shop etc.) Thanks Albert

Headed to Interco tomorrow, I can see what they have used. Anybody else need something from Rayne or want to go see Super Swamper Head Quarters.:smokin::cool:

Interesting. I always thought they were manufactured in Louisiana or Texas. Learn something every day. Gives me goose bumps just thinking about that place. I don't know what it is but fresh meats are the s**t. Last time I was there I think I payed about $475 for 5 33x10.5X15 TSL Swampers. Times have changed.

FYI, Quick Quarter

This Taco will be up for sale this week. I spoke with him yesterday for an hour or so and he's trading it in on a new TRD package Tundra. This Taco is sweeeet :D He just had it dyno'd and has a custom picggy back on the ECU for the supercharger. He'd be willing to do a consignment sale at the dealership if interested and he'd like to see it go to someone who can appreciate the rig. He says some who buys it off the street won't know what to do with it in regards to programming and changing the maps. He work private security over seas so it only has 68,000 miles he wheeled it at Moab, Hot Springs, North Carolina and other places and he said it does well. Not a dent on the truck he said the only damage it ever had to it was the factory front bumper got caught on a rock in Moab and he replaced it with the ARB. I'll post the other info when he emails it to me. :)

I wish this was an April Fools joke...

After much soul searching and weighing pros and cons, I am putting the 40 up for sale. I'll keep it in this the BSLCA forum for a few days before moving it to the classifieds and putting some adds locally. Alot of you have seen it but I will post pics asap.

I paid $6500 for it last year and added the locker, tach, shocks, rear j**p bench seat, and a "new" carb. Looking for something around $7500.

1978 FJ40

4 wheel disc brakes
Power steering
350 SBC that runs strong
"Brand New" Rebuilt Quadrajet. I just got it on last weekend and it made a huge difference.
Aussie Locker in the rear with <500 miles on it
AA Twin sticks on the transfer case
4 speed trans/ 3 spd Transfer Case
New Battery
New Rancho 5000 in front, Edelbrocks in back.
2.5" lift springs
1.5" body lift
305/70/16 BFG MTs (not KM2) in good shape (over 80% left I guess)
Massive front pipe bumper
Custom rear bumper with swingout tire carrier

Cons:

Windshield wipers inop. Not sure if it is the motor or not.

Fiberglass front end. I hear some people like these? I don't ..I have metal fenders, bib, hood, aprons in the shed.

Very stiff 3 leaf springs. They are bearable with the new shocks, but a different setup is on my short list.

No Top.

It starts up well, runs great especially with the new carb.

PM me if you are interested.

Thanks,

Brian.

p.s. I am keeping the FJ Cruiser so I will still be going on rides and all that

Hopefully we can find it a good home. You can also mention the frame off restoration in 99/00. Blasted tub and frame treated and painted so there should be little to no rust. What are you going to ask for it Brian?

I'll ask for around what I have in it, $7500. I know this is a tough time to sell though.

Man that stinks. Good luck in the sale

Congratz! Did you get the tires too? Post a pic with them on!

Let me know if I can help I see he is from St. Martinville also. Congrates on the Staun internal beadlocks

Thanks man, I have lined up to meet him on next Friday so I am figuring on driving up there picking them up and then trying to figure out how I will mount them. Looks like the hardest part is going to be breaking my tires off, and remounting them.

However if you want to ride out to gueydan on the weekend and give a hand, feel free :D
