Loud wheel wells? Rain / water noise (1 Viewer)

I think so. After 35 years in construction, my hearing is definitely jacked up
Yeah, I can definitely relate. My left ear is actually pretty good for my line of work, but I once dropped a little BB of welding slag in my right... all the way down. The volume is much lower on that side! I'm pretty good about wearing earplugs in noisy environments, but nothing loud was happening and I was enjoying not having them in. Mistake!

After reading this thread, I was actually paying attention to noise today, rather than trying to ignore it. It was rainy here and the rear wheel wells are definitely the noisiest area on the vehicle. Second to that sounds to me like wind noise, maybe from the side mirrors (best guess). As big as it is, I don't think I detect a ton of noise coming from the floor. I don't think I'm getting much from the roof either, but I don't have a roof rack, so that may be different depending on what you have up there.
