Anybody recommend a good machine shop in the Portland/Vancouver area?
 
When I delete the EGR. Am I just capping any of the vacuum lines that are coming from the modulator?

To disable the EGR valve, just the red hose in the picture below needs to be removed from the valve and capped.
That metal EGR gas fitting looks black because it’s cast iron = normal.

But if I'm removing all EGR equipment with a block off plate at the J pipe and a brass cap from Jim C. Will I also remove the modulator and block any hoses that are going to that?
 
EGR is never active at idle. If it doesn’t work now then it’s not affecting anything anyway. Removal will just be a exercise in decluttering the engine bay.
