Wanted Looking for HZJ73 fuel tank

Hi all,

I'm looking for a replacement fuel tank for a '94 HZJ73 (Belgium sourced). Hitting snags with Cruiser Parts at the moment. Also checked PartSouq Auto Parts Around the World but came up short there as well. Any other suggestions?

Most 70 series tanks are similar. There may be slight variations in vent line locations. Some good info here...

If the donor 70 has the same wheelbase this is correct but there are several totally different models of 7x tanks unfortunately.

I have fitted a new OEM tank for a 2007+ to a 1990. Build thread in 70 section as proof.

Only difference is venting, get newer style filler neck and it’s a done deal.

The old tank was fixable but nobody wanted it at the time so I tossed it.

All up new tank, straps, skid, filler neck will run you $1000+.

Yes you can get them.

Came out of a 1991 HZJ77, replaced with a long range tank. Comes with skidplate, straps, and a brand new pickup, no sender. The 77 has a compartment at the rear of the cargo that protrudes below to which the tank mounts. Not sure what other model has that, but that would be required for a direct...
