Hey all, very much appreciate the support. I'm working logistics right now with the seller and a friend. I need to bring along a second driver since they're so far away! Trying to get to it tomorrow if it works out with everyone's schedule.

It's got a fantastic price and very low miles for its age, and appears in very good condition from a rust standpoint. I will just say those 3 photos are all that I have, so I'm excited but cautious.

Look at the VIN tag to determine lockers. K294=yes. K292=no.

You can do plenty of stupid without lockers & consider them frosting if you get a pair, experience > lockers.

The oil all over the FR axle is normal (or it may leak, no biggie) -oil changes lend themselves to coating your axle in oil. Rustproofing.

Looks like a nice one from the pics, sounds like very few owners too if owner mentioned AC compressor.

I'd pursue!

This'll have a center diff lock that automatically engages in 4LO. Should have the harness pigtail to rig up a 4HI lock button. But FR/RR, not often do they come with that.

Ask if it comes with the Lexus issued Pink Panties...

Heading out tomorrow morning, folks.

CARFAX reveals lots of consistent service history. Major service at 120k including: all fluids flushed, valve cover replaced, drive shaft serviced, brakes serviced. Clean title, no accidents listed. Dang!

Things looking really good. Would make an awesome rig for a budget conscious guy like myself. Been searching since December...

Will keep ya'll updated.

Seller told me earlier this evening he'd give me first priority. Then just sent me a message saying he sold it to someone else. I can understand that it's time sensitive, but I don't think it would've been too much to ask for him to call me and at least give an opportunity to make a counter offer.

That's some BS! That's why once I find something, I go NOW! Don't let them change their mind, and I can sleep outside for a couple nights if I need to wait for a driver. Anyways, sorry he screwed you..... that sucks!

Yea, I mean, I guess I could've left after work but damn...I would've only just arrived if I HAD done that.

Again, I get it, but if you tell someone they have priority then you could at least call them and let them know what's going on and give them a chance to counter offer. Whatever.

Yea, then you would of been tired from work and driving, and you would of been writing this from the county jail after whipping some ass! Yea, forget it, and move on.... another one is waiting! (And if your lucky you'll find the Men's version..... The Land Cruiser!....lol)

Was about to post "you're gonna be too late"...turns out my post was too late! :meh:

Bummer man, you just fell victim to one of the pitfalls.

Among the rules of buying a car is making a deal on it, damn everything else - you can go back for your new car, apoligize for flaking on some plan - whatever.

Get the title - the rest is details.

I near bully a seller when I see a CL ad car I want. Next time you know to clear your schedule when the next 'sweet 80 deal' comes along.

I'm starting to get the business model of that Armenian guy with all the 80's - if you snatch up all the decent ones being pushy you can sell them off for profit to all the lesser timetabled prospective buyers.

Don't even try and nail down a West coast person on time - I swear it's like I ownthe only watch in my area code.

Just wasn't meant to be...and the guy did shaft you, like 99% of CL sellers. But 99% of CL buyers never show up, so it balances I suppose.
