I'm trying to find a 78-80 FJ40 in, or around GA. If anyone knows of a decent rig for sale please let me know. I've searched craigslist and the classifieds here, but I'm not finding a whole lot.

Power steering, winch, air shocks, custom built bumpers, 5 point roll cage, 4 inch lift and 5 new Baja wheels and tires. Rhino lined inside and undercoated. All stainless steel screws and hardware. I agree. I would not pay 15K for it. Doesn't have what I would want.

Any particular reason why you're looking for 78-80?

Personally, I like the older pre 75 FJ40s. They had the best sheet metal. You're more likely to see a rusted out sheet metal on 78+

Front disk brake conversion is a non issue. 3 speed to 4 speed swap is also a non issue.
 
hey if you are still looking, my mom saw a "really pretty j33p" (i don't think she knows the difference?) for sale here in smyrna. Sorry, it didn't have a price given anywhere and i don't know anything about it. she didn't take any pictures of the interior or engine or any mechanical stuff, but she did say it looked like it had small dents in the body and they had been painted over. the number on the window is 404-799-3818.
