Might as well step on your one-thing with a golf shoe then.....;)

you know.......I could really have some fun with this

not if I want to live to tell about it.

Dan are you happy with your setup. the j's and such?

Yes, very, actually.

I am a bit of an odd duck in that I have J's up front, 864's on the rear axle and standard length OME shocks. I have wanted to raise the front a bit more but I do not want to have to deal with additional caster correction or lengthen the shocks, which requires lowering the bumpstops. As a result I do have a bit of a rake when unloaded but when I am fully loaded the vehicle sits almost level. I pack an enormous ammount of weight when we are fully loaded. 864's are not for everyone, they are geared more toward a "work truck".

A close friend was on the same page as you, but he decided against the 864 after driving another (unloaded of course) with them, opted for the 863 and following his orders I installed Airlift bags with individual filler valves. He carry a 12V heavy duty compressor and manually fill the bags when required to level the 80. Once unloaded he let out the air down to 5 lbs to soften the ride and keep the bags on their place.

One year and no complains to date.

Having the thing fart in the middle of the night when you’re sleeping on top of it is downright frightening.  :o
