My wheel is currently at craft customs. They quoted 3-4 weeks for replacement. I’ll let you know when it’s back and swapped out. @Exiled said he also had oneEvening y’all, I would like to get on the list for the loaner wheel.
Do you have an idea of what bolts go through that? Size of threads?there are two threaded bosses in the aluminum for use with a puller
Sorry, I don't recall.Do you have an idea of what bolts go through that? Size of threads?
Great, will try it out once my new steering wheel arrives.Total guess based on so many other places on these rigs with similar uses: likely M8x1.25
I haven't run across a situation whereI couldn't remove a 200 series steering wheel by backing the main nut out (not off) and whacking the backside of the wheel with open palms (striking toward yourself essentially in the motion like you would make with a dumbbell curl at the gym). Keeping the nut on prevents the wheel from flying off and smacking you.Great, will try it out once my new steering wheel arrives.
Haha! Did that once and I screwed up the motor on my LX. Bought a steering wheel puller just for this reason.I haven't run across a situation whereI couldn't remove a 200 series steering wheel by backing the main nut out (not off) and whacking the backside of the wheel with open palms (striking toward yourself essentially in the motion like you would make with a dumbbell curl at the gym).
