Hey RHD. The tires are 9x32. They measure out at 32.4'' . I have tried 33x12.5 and they fit. I have also tried 35x 12.5 and they fit also but you need to adjust the bump stops and trim the plastic ect.. I would not recomend the 35's unless you regear. I have been looking at 34's or 33's . My family has a hard enough time getting in it as is and I need this truck to be streetable also.

Gotcha, I guess you'll be needing a portable step ladder soon.

As for 35", you'd likely need to be in low range the whole time with the little 2lte pushing it hey?

I've been running 33/12.5 since I got mine no lift, tires actually measure 32", and no real rub issues if you can believe it, even when fully canned.

Hey RHD. The price for the coils were around 715.00
watch out for the shipping costs. These coils are heavy. They weighed in at 38 kg. If your friend is going to bring them back for you on the plane she is only alowed to have 22kg per bag with a total of two bags per person.

yeah she rulled out putting them in her bag, she thinks she can send them for $50, probably not the case though I'm sure.

I noticed they have full kits with shocks and castor corrects and drag links, you think there is any advantage in getting one of there kits, seems really expensive for what is in there.

What length shocks are you running and did you change your drag link.

Hey RHD sorry for the late reply. I know the kits are really expensive. All of the parts can be made for a lot less. The hardest part to make would be the castor correction. Your simple castor correct bushings dose not correct the castor enough.
I lengthened the front and read panhard bars to center the diff. If you don't the axle will be hard to one side and that is not good. I haven't put new rear shocks in yet so I can't tell you the proper length. I will keep you updated on the shock size.

thanks man, my friend didn't come through for me, she is going to order the coils for me when she gets back to Canada.

I forgot that I have a good buddy whos an excelent fabricator, did some amazing work on his truck, supra powered toy mini truck, chopped and locked. He'll help me out huge when the time comes.

On a side note my rear lock rite gets put in on monday, so I'm excited to go test her out on this deeply rutted and washed out trail going up silver star mountain, if anyones familiar with that area of Vernon

Thanks for the help and the info pradocruzzer

nice, so the panhard is centered now as is the front arm. are they off the same mount on the rear diff?
not sure if i will go down this route or not but the travel is impressive. i would love to take it for a spin on the highway someday. of course the truck i am building is more of a hauler D/D than a off road rig so i need to be stable with a load in the back.

do you have any further shots of the build?

cheers and thanks for posting up this thread.

The pan hard bar is still on the original mount. I added about three inches of lift on it to level it out a bit. I have done nothing new on the rear suspension but swap springs and bolted them down and added a fresh set of shocks. It seems to work just fine so I will leave it alone. I will three link the front at some time when I have money and time to spare and the wife and kids will let me hide out in the shop.

that is a clean install.
to recap and please correct me where i am wrong:
the mounts for the panhard are still the same but you hiem the ends
cut the lower link mounts and move ahead 8"
link bars are 37" long and hiemed at each end
track bar is 26" with custom cross brace front and diff mount rear
taller springs and longer shocks
retainer straps for the spring mounts
done.
correct? missing anything?

thanks for posting this thread.

The recap is fine. You and I have different styles of wheeling and how we wan't our trucks to work off road. This may or may not be for you. Like I said before this might not be the best way to build a linked set up ,but I'am okay with it where someone else may not.
Pinkfloyddsotm built a nice linked suspension. I have only seen a few snap shots but would like to see more.

to be clear, i am not questioning the mod. i actually am inticed (which is rare for me) to look into it more and MAYBE give it a try.
hence
the list i made to make sure i had the basic idea clear in my head. please go over my list and let me know if i am missing anything.

cheers and peace.

A little off topic but I find a weak link in the front end is the bar from the power steering box to the steer arm on the knuckle. It may be because of the angle due to the lift, but every time I wheel it hard the steering is never straight on the ride home. With larger tires this may be a problem for you. Suggestions, build a new one with hiems, sleeve the original with DOM, Build a new one with DOM and 80 series rod ends (I think they fit) the list goes on.

Take care.

thanks, i will look into it more when i do the rear frame lengthening for the bed.
cheers

Hi pradocruzer, good job on your rig. I have a similar setup on my LJ70. I also use the same heim joints size like yours as toyota LJ models arm brackets are 2 inch wide. For that 2 inch mounting width, the heim joints that we r using is quite small, typically 7/8 -14 x 5/8 hole. How is your holding and have you done any replacement so far?
