Wow!!

Pretty sure we can find somewhere other than FEMA to send the tarp package.

I've got a ladder shot for you, lemme get it off my phone in a few days. Goes something like "how do we re-string the flagpole?" when ladder is 35' and pole is 45'.

And no permit -- even better!!!

Very nice work! I'm impressed.

I wonder if there is some way to "black out" that barn down railing to match your other hardware. I don't know how well paint would stick to galvanizing (if that is the finish).

Lots of hard work in that barn, but it looks great.

Galv Door Rail

Yes, that has been bothering me too. I thought about taking the doors back down and painting the rail black. I too wondered how well paint would work on galvinized metal... I bet one of our LC brothers out there knows. We seem to know everything right...

Have some black engine paint, might see what happens.....;p

Thanks for the thumbs up, it was alot of hard work..

Use Jasco on the galvanized and then paint it. You can get the Jasco at Lowe's. It is a phosphoric acid I think which will etch the galvanizing.

Or, vinegar will work fine.

It looks real nice, I would hate the maintenence. Linseed oil that thing every year? You did a great job on that though look real good.

I like the composite concrete siding (James Hardie or Certainteed) You can actually stain it with cedar stain and you only have to do it about every 15 years. That is what we did with a cabin in Cascade Idaho.
