Linville Gorge/Old NC 105 - THIS THURSDAY - Saturday (1 Viewer)

It’s supposed to be a pretty epic day Friday up on Old Nc 105. Snow accumulations right now are forecasted to be 3”-5” on Friday. My girlfriend and I are planning to go on Thursday mid day, claim a great camping spot and enjoy the snow, views and outdoors. Leave Saturday at some point. I’m jonesing for some cold weather/snow camping.

Anyone want to come along?

I'm in! Well, I guess it's little late now...

By coincidence though, I ended up there myself last weekend. It was COLD but I had a blast. I posted about it in the 80 forum (see link below). I'm definitely going back at some point.

Yes I have and you are correct about rolling into the climb. It's all about technique. Well what I lack in technique I make up with stupidity!

I went up the 3rd and never saw anyone familiar or much of anyone at all on 105 192 or really in the area in general. It was cold. But the fire was huge.
