these were a limited number of trucks ... 1089 .... i had seen some threads at different sites... but... was wondering if anybody knows of a registry of the limited trucks?

how many are left would be cool and locations of the trucks ... supposedly they sent one to every dealership?

They were all red and had chrome grilles and front bumpers. The dealership I was working at at the time had one and it hit in March 1979. I tried to buy it and the dealership owner would not sell it to an employee. If he had I would probably still have it.

The only other 79 truck you could get with a chrome grille and front bumper was the black ones. Just as rare as the Limited Editions.

So if it has chrome bumpers is red then it is limited edition? I have a 1979 that is red with chrome front and rear bumpers and decals and it has the tachometer dash and also the full arm rests. I have never seen another one like it.

It should also have a chrome grille and headlamp doors. As well as power steering and a tilt steering wheel. Also a two gauge pod under the center vent. A 6 foot box too. No long beds. The vent grilles in the cab pillars should also be chrome.
