On a side note, we have been trying to figure out a way to get over to GSMTR for even a day or two but it's just not going to work out. Got two days of meetings and folks coming in for a plant tour right in the middle:mad: . I know this is supposed to be your last year running the show and really wanted to come over to show some support. Well, maybe next year and you'll have more free time to wheel??? Best of luck with the event!

Thanks for trying, as for next year it looks like I will be stuck with it again. We use the profits to support SFWDA's trail maintenance at Tellico, which is what keeps the area open. None of the other Chapters that could take over the event are members of SFWDA, so I may have to keep chairing the event to keep the profits going to the right place. Though if we don't get 30-40 more registrations in the next couple of weeks we might loose money this year and I will have to rethink next year.

Hehehe ...

As a matter of fact ...

When/if I ever get The Presidential Suite done and get the trailer shortened ...

it's gonna be painted black also. :grinpimp:

:flamingo:

Let's see...

You start a Toyota club, then buy a jeep.

Make a big damn deal outta paintin' everthang OD green, then switch your own trailer to black.

Folks, he's just screwin' with us!:flipoff2: :flipoff2:

It took you this long to figure that out, I guess they're right Aggies are slow.:D
Oh, I had that figured out 'fore he even started up this little club. Wouldn't have been worth joining if that weren't the case! :D

I just figured I'd go ahead and enlighten the rest of the folks that ain't figured it out yet. ;)

Hell, that's what I'm talkin about. All dodges, pulling Gooseneck trailers and living quarters on front now things are really starting to come together. Now, if Kowboy and I can get you guys to get with the program and get Jeeps then it will be sure enough BADASS. I feel the love as this is being read by many. pieceout bigcountry.

Lets see here:
Kowboy buys a trailer
paints trailer a nice OD green
Strapee likes a strap on
Butch has gay porn on his 'puter
Kowboy buys a JEEP
Kowboy says he is painting the trailer another colour (pink?)
Just WTF happened while I was in exile?

Nice trailer Daryl, at least it is not pink and does not carry a JEEP.

For Gawd's sakes Daryl ...

throw the camper on the damn thang and post up 'nother pic to get us back on track here. :grinpimp:

:flamingo:

At the risk of spoiling you... Your wish is ........

I fear ya' need another axle under there or some 14 ply tyres.....looks good....

I think my trailer is a little heaver and with my cruiser loaded and my side boxes full I have 10,800 lbs on the trailer axles. 4-E range tires are rated to carry about 13,000 lbs. :)

Brand new 14 ply load range G "tyres" 'neath there Wise One. I hope to spend some quality time on the local scales on Saturday morning getting all my weights noodled out. It's gona be CLOSE!

If I may, I would like to study your side box construction at the Ramble. I have some ideas but no need to reinvent thw wheel right?;)

No problem, if you decide to get started sooner I can send pictures. They are actually fairly simple, but you will need to hook your tie downs to where the jacks were mounted as I used the tie down eyes on camper to secure the top of the side boxes.

I don't know when I'll start on the boxes but some photos would be great! I didn't think about using the tie down eyes as an attachment point. Kinda nice havin you around old fella!:D

Daryl, just something I learned before i got my boxes built. You will wish you had the boxes built when you head down the road and catch a good side wind. The wind will catch under the camper and holy s*** will it push you sideways. It made one hell of a difference with the boxes. Just trying to help.

Good point Sir - Guess I ain't gettin no time off for good behavior...:crybaby:

I did get a little more done tonight. Got the two hydraulic jacks from the rear of the camper mounted on the GN uprights to use as stabilizers when camping and decided to fab up a spare tire mount on top of the GN pin just in front of the camper. This will make more room in the storage bin for propane bottles, chocks, blocks, chains, etc.

Daryl I am at Rob's for the weekend will send photo's when I get home.
