On the way to work this morning, I tried opening my liftgate and could feel the handle was stuck open. I was in the back yesterday, but don't remember feeling the latch getting stuck.
Anyhow, I kind of jimmied it loose again, and now the latch doesn't feel like there's anything connected to it anymore. The latch moves freely.
Some initial searching has led me to some little yellow retaining clip inside the door. Now I haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but assuming both upper and lower halves of the tailgate are closed, can I still get in there to manually "convince" the latch to open to repair this?
