i just received my hybrid bumper from LFD offroad and plan to install it early next week. if anyone has installed this bumper how did you measure the plastic to make your cuts? it seems like its going to be hard to get a good measurement, and we only get one chance on this. Any advice would be appreciated.

These are posted in the new guy from alabama thread with some comments on pros and cons. I love the way it looks, and have done a little bit of work since these pictures with black pin striping that gives it a more finished look. next up is doing something about those tired old halogen headlights! I have no idea how my wife could see at night in this thing.

Easy, I have not tried to plug in the cable, the X20's are wireless. But its easy to get my hand in there to flip on the wireless switch. I will run out to the garage and plug in the cable and get back to u!

It looks sweet. The clutch is what I wonder about.

Just a note, I have the same winch and the remote is extra. So don't expect to have it in the box when you order it.
I also have control box under my hood, firewall, passenger side and it's really easy for me to plug my controller into.
You can see it in the upper left of the picture.

My remote came w the winch.
Mine too. It's the same exact remote that work wired and wirelessly. As long a the battery is good it would work wirelessly. I think it use A23 garage door opener battery.

Wish mine came with one! Albeit I purchased mine a couple years ago. They must have changed policy/packaging.
Although, I really don't mind the cable. It's easy to get to and for how often I use it (3 or 4 times since I've had it?) I don't have to worry about a dead battery when in need.

I ordered one today... I have a utility winch need but want to remain fairly stock on front. I realize not an option for everyone.

Acrad, with all due respect, are you really spending over $2,500 on that winch?
I went with a Smittybilt X20 for only $608.99. It's waterproof and comes with synthetic line. I've had to use it several times and it's been great!
I don't have the wireless remote because I don't like worrying if my batteries are charged when it's time to use it. I just go with the corded version. My controls are on the passenger side fire wall. Works great there!

I am torn with the high quality of winches today... I haven't ordered anything yet but have always ordered WARN in the past. My father's old 8274 he has on his '80 Chev (both purchased new & still around today) has always been my benchmark as well for reliability. A different design from a different era but so stout. That being said he has one of those HF winches on another rig and has seen hard use and not broke yet.

Hey guys, I just joined, I'm with LFD Off Road.

The contact info you guys posted above is for an entirely different division of our company, none of them work in the off road side. If you want to email info@lfdoffroad.com with questions or our desk phone for our division is (704) 960-1838.

I'm installing a Warn Evo 10S in our 460 with a slightly modified prototype version of this bumper sometime this week, assuming it gets back from powder coating on time.
