Ok guys- just ordered the card key for the 2020 LX570 in hopes that it will fit the 2020LC. The part numbers are below. It lists for $360 from the Lexus, but I was able to get the part # to show up in the Toyota parts database online for McGreorge Toyota and ordered it for $210 delivered. Now I just need to wait for it to arrive and see if it will install.

Ok guys. Worked flawless and card key now works on the Heritage 2020. Needed the Lexus 2020 card key but programmed without an issue.

Great news! I have tried the hyq14cbb that didn't work on 20LC. Eric tried too. Looks like CBK is the way to go. Ordering now.

Just successfully programmed Lexus HYQ14ABB credit card style key to work with my 2013 Toyota LC. At first I took it to a local automotive locksmith but they couldn't get it to work and said unequivocally that the FCC IDs had to match my OEM Toyota key in order for it to be compatible (they don't match). They didn't charge me for the unsuccessful attempt. After reading more on Mud, I ordered a replacement battery for the credit card key and programmed it myself using Techstream on a windows laptop and this YouTube video and it worked perfectly first time.

If the battery is not very strong, the programming will seem like it is working but not actually complete the programming. With a fresh CR2412 watch battery it worked first try.

edit: I'm going to do another because the first one went to my wife. Ladies don't have pockets, etc etc

Just got my key programmed for my 2019 lc200 as well as laser cut the metal valet/backup/door key. Thanks @Eric Sarjeant for getting the 2 parts shipped to me! Too bad its a lexus logo vs LC but its going into a wallet never to be seen again anyway :)

Do the LC and LX metal keys match the GX460 style? I looked into getting a physical key cut for the credit card key slot but was told it’s not possible for my GX

Gx460 key looks like this.

Not sure, maybe? Its laser cut on just one side with various grooves, other side is flat.

Just confirming that I recently ordered the 2020 Card Key from lexuspartsnow.com (Part No.: 89904-48Q90) and so far it works great in the 2020 LC 200. I had it programmed at the Lexus dealership since I figured they did more of these than Toyota.

I was just randomly cruising mud when I saw this post and Baam!!! Credit card key fob!!! Thank you for confirming it works for a 2013! Before I purchase, is there any hiccups you came across? Did you just follow the video exactly? Also, where do you find your engine code? Oh, and with this opener, are there buttons to press to open from a distance?

Thanks again, and thanks to OP for figuring this out!!! I hate the key fob!!

Just make sure you get the CC Key for the right year.

Does anyone know if the 89904-48Q90 credit card key which works on 2020 LC (didn't work on earlier), will as well work on 2021? I assume it should as I doubt toyota made system change just for 2020.

It should work w/o issue, as it is listed as the part number for a 2021 LX570. I’m planning on buying one next month for my truck.

@Eric Sarjeant just confirmed it would.

Key part number is 89904-48Q90 and the shank is 69515-30350

I cannot stand the regular key fob. It is huge. I love the credit card key. Now part of that might be because I am one of those dudes who doesn't carry a wallet. I just roll with one friggin credit card and the credit card key.

I used a locksmith for the key. Think I paid $40, call around and find one that can laser cut. Many locksmiths ca program cheaper than a dealer, but you can also do it with techstream for free.

If anyone is in or comes through Spokane, I'd be happy to help you program a key with my copy of Techstream...
