Does anybody know how to decipher the stamped number here for date of manufacture? Lexus 84 month battery 27F. My best guess is they skip the letter "I" so possibly this was made in December 2024? The 4M at the beginning. Thanks.

IDK, if serial has a date code within it.
Look around sides of battery, for a sticker.
If battery install by/at Lexus, which most are, and service dep is who wrty's. It's under VIN# service history.

Right. No sticker. And it's an old rig so no service history that's very recent.

Thanks, Hoser. It makes the most sense for me. I think it may be December 3rd, 2024. And then the rest of the code is likely internal to the manufacturer.

Interesting. My Toyota parts guy sent it off to their battery contact and he is sayingn April 2023. Still not bad for a free battery someone gave me. Good backup.
